New version of EN ISO 25649 standards were approved by CEN in November 2024.

They will replace the older 2017 version for which the Date of Withdrawal is set to 31 May 2025.

Main changes:
- Weight of subject 1 used for all in-water test is increased from 90 kg to 110 kg
- Adult and child torso probe are enlarged therefore potentially affecting result of body entrapment tests
- Age limit pictogram under prohibition group is replaced by an age recommendation pictogram under mandatory group
