🚨 EN 581:2026 is coming — outdoor furniture compliance is about to change.
If you manufacture, import or distribute outdoor seating or tables for the European market, now is the time to act.
What's new?
🪑 EN 581-2 (Seating) — stability tests now follow EN 1022:2023, 7 new deckchair tests derived from French standard NF D61-062, new corner and lateral stability requirements.
🪑 EN 581-3 (Tables) — mandatory 3-type product classification, new vertical durability and impact tests, glass banned in camping tables.
These aren't minor tweaks. Products currently compliant may require retesting.
